This was turning out to be a remarkable spring vacation. I finally found the wherewithal to sit down and write the novel I had been talking about for years. I had my characters all lined up and waiting with baited breath to be let out in chapter one. Rachel, a single mother works three jobs to support her kids and is the life-smart one of the bunch. Thomas, the alcoholic millionare is stuck once again in a prediciment of his own making. They live in Truth Or Consequences, a town on the Rio Grande in southern New Mexico.
Another note worthy feat, I started a vegatable garden alongside the house. I couldnt get over how productive I was being! I felt filled to the brim with energy and imagination. Life is like that, so much at our disposal and its up to us to make use of it. I called old friends I had lost touch with, made a sculpture out of old toothbrushes, built a birdhouse and started playing violin. I had very little need for sleep. What a rush!
What a crock! I did none of the above, the whole thing is a big fat lie. Really I just laid around, rented movies and ate M&Ms until I got sick.
